Quoting a state representative.

Quoting a state representative.

"Treasury assures that the program will be limited in size, so that private investors retain control; limited in scope, so that the government cannot exercise any control over any private firm, and has voting rights that can only be used to protect the taxpayer's investment - not to direct the firm's operations; and limited in duration, with provisions to encourage banks to buy back their shares from the government when the markets stabilize and they can raise money from private investors."

Thanksgiving

It's been so busy at our house lately . It's got me thinking.

With the coming and the going of work and school schedules, it's hard to keep up with the little details of life that make everyone's day unique from any other experienced before. I find myself taking time to give Thanks all through out the day now and cherish the moments that I do have to spend with love ones , all the more. When asking "what did you do today?" , you listen well to the person's reply. By giving time together back it's quality,it doesn't require much to make memories that will last. Just being grateful for what you got is usually a complete attitude adjustment for most. Allowing yourself to be free to the will of God is thanksgiving in every way. Everyday. It's called Grace. Instead of focusing on the negatives of having to spend more time away from my family ,because of tough economic times, I think about how thankful I am to even have a job during this depression. How blessed we are having food on the table and having the companionship, the fellowship , of one another. That's what thanksgiving is all about to me. May yours be just as blessed.

Sunday

This morning , the Lord blessed me with an opportunity to share His Word with my youngest brother. 1Peter was the focus of the morning . My brother is going through some trying times in his life, he's reaching out into the world and he's realizing that they don't want him because he believes too much. With his whole heart. He's different. The Bible tells us that we are not to worry about fitting in with the world .It tells us that He will take care of all obstacles set before our paths if we only have the COURAGE to give up ourselves and live in His will . That in doing so we set ourselves apart by living in His Grace and great peace even in the face of adversity and division. Our inheritance is not Earthly but Eternal. Not fleeting but forever. To know that one day you'll get to go home, forever and that until then live in contentment and happiness the rest of your days.... Now that's Hope, that's Joy; in abundance, even when it seems like there is none to be seen with the eye. We simply close them and turn them unto the Lord to see His vision of Love. God Bless you Peter. God bless you Brother. Peace Be With You.

Fall

Fall

As I have expressed many times, I love fall. The sights, smells and sounds of this season are my very favorites. At the first sight of an orange leaf or an orange jersey, my heart
gets beating just a little bit faster. Makes my smile just a little bit bigger and my step , with just a little more pep. The Earth itself seems to solidify after months of melting heat to give off a rich smell. One that reminds you that Earth itself, is a living, breathing thing. The air seems more vibrant, cleaner, crisper , like the apples that have been waiting patiently for their day . Oh and what a day it is when you smell that first pie, the memories that it invokes . Days of warmth and of safety. Days of family and friends. Gratitude and full bellies. Contentment so deep down and wide spread, it's only comparison is butter. ;)

On days like this I like to hear the sounds of the season especially. I love the smell and taste of the candy apple but mostly, I love the sound it makes when I eat it. I enjoy the sights of the changing of the leaves but I like the sound of them being raked and jumped into better. The crush and crunch of these things help define the sounds of the season as well as those of a helmet and body pads. Football, in all it's glory, revitalize a slumberous fan out of their summer blues and creates an energy that enhances an already wonderous time of year.

May you enjoy it with all your senses.

The Big E

When I wrote this poem , I went back to the time when we first met . It was a difficult time for us as people who were in the middle of evolving, especially since the 'spark' was more like a bolt of lightening. We both had just gotten out of long relationships and were in the process of trying to figure out who we were as individuals as well define just what it was we wanted out of our next relationship . My husband personally had a lot on his plate to work out , I didn't know to what extent at first and once I did see it, I knew that what he needed from me, more than anything, was for me to be selfless when it came to our relationship. In doing that, the bond we forged with one another became indestructible. Best friends is not enough, soul mates is so cliche' but that's what it comes down to. What I tried to convey in this writing is the depth of that friendship, that understanding , because for me, that is the essence of love. It is it's fundamental building block , like the DNA that makes up our genetic structure. Not to say that that is enough because it's not, but ultimately, if there should be times of trial, it will always be the first place to go. When you understand this as well , you feel yourself slipping more and more into , what I call true love. To truly love someone you must be willing to adapt to the changes the individual makes for themselves, good or bad and be willing to grow with them indefinitely and unconditionally. So... without further adieu....
